Fresh Bolillos & Conchas
Baked Before Dawn
Every morning at 368 Monroe St., our ovens are running — turning flour, lard, and decades of family know-how into the bread that makes Passaic taste like home.
Baked by Hand,
Loved by Passaic
We don't rush the dough. Every batch of pan dulce, every tamal, every cup of café de olla carries the rhythm of a family that has been feeding this neighborhood for over three decades.
Pan Dulce
Conchas, orejas, cuernos, cuates — each one shaped by hand and dusted with the sugar topping that makes them instantly recognizable. Fresh out of the oven by 7 AM.
Bolillos & Telera
Crusty on the outside, pillowy inside. Our bolillos are the backbone of every buen provecho — perfect for tortas, tostadas, or simply buttered and shared at the table.
Café & Bebidas
Café de olla spiced with cinnamon and piloncillo, rich Mexican coffee, atole, and horchata — poured warm or cold, always made from the family recipe.
Catering & Events
From quinceañeras to Sunday mass breakfasts — we build custom pastry trays and catering spreads that arrive warm and on time, every time.
Three Decades of
Flour, Fire & Family
Panadería San Juan opened its doors on Monroe Street in the mid-1990s, when Passaic's Latin community was growing fast and hungry for a place that tasted like home. What started as a single oven and a recipe notebook has grown into one of the city's most trusted bakeries — still run by the same family, still waking up before sunrise.
We source our flour from the same mill, our piloncillo from the same importer, and our techniques from the same hands that taught us. That doesn't mean we resist change — we've added an espresso bar, expanded our catering, and started offering online orders — but the heart of what we do hasn't shifted.
